Selling a Vacuum Cleaner in Ireland: Attachments, Filters and Battery Limits
Identify a vacuum cleaner and its attachments, describe ordinary-use performance and battery limitations, and prepare clear photos without overstating condition.
A vacuum cleaner may have changed attachments several times since you bought it. Before listing it, match the machine, head, tubes and charger that actually belong in the offer. Buyers need to know whether they are receiving a complete usable setup or a main unit with important components missing.
Lay out the complete set
Find the exact model and photograph every included attachment together. Identify the main floor head, extension tube, small tools, charging equipment and stand where present. Do not advertise accessories shown on the original box unless they are still included.
Explain whether the unit is corded, cordless or another configuration. For a robot vacuum, include the dock and any relevant app or account preparation required by the manufacturer. Avoid assuming that a generic charger or another model's tool is compatible just because it connects physically.
Clean the parts you are meant to clean
Empty the container and follow the manual for user-serviceable filters and attachments. Some components have specific washing or drying requirements; do not apply one method to the whole machine. Describe any odour, staining or material that remains.
Photograph the underside of the main head, worn wheels, cracked clips and damaged seals. Check the cable or charging equipment for visible damage without opening electrical components. If the machine appears unsafe, establish the appropriate route rather than offering it as ready for normal use.
Explain performance in ordinary terms
State when you last used the vacuum and on what setting. If a battery lasts for a limited period, describe your observation with the setting and conditions instead of repeating the maximum new-product runtime. Do not claim a battery-health figure that the machine does not provide.
Disclose suction problems, noisy bearings, stopped brush movement or intermittent charging. A short demonstration can show a present function, but it is not a guarantee that every mode or accessory is faultless.
Check the model and plan collection
Consult CCPC product safety information for relevant recalls, and follow manufacturer guidance for damaged batteries or other faults. If posting is proposed, confirm the carrier accepts the actual contents, including the battery, before agreeing the price.
Pack loose tools so that they do not strike the main unit. For collection, have the included pieces ready to check against the description. Use the pricing guide to compare complete sets with similar condition.
Browse home and garden for the appropriate section, then create your vacuum cleaner listing with clear limits on what has been checked.
